At the meeting of the LRS on 30th October astronomer and former LRS member, Ian Sheffield GM3VEI gave us a very well described tour of the Solar System, describing the various planets, the sun, meteors, comets and the moon. After the talk there was a chance to get close to the moon (or at least a bit of it): as a special treat, Ian brought his actual Apollo 11 moondust sample for all to see, and there was time for questions on other aspects of astronomy - moon landing hoaxes, Aliens etc!
