Two LRS trophies were donated by the late Charlie Cowper GM0OYV

(SK 25-8-1998) in his will.

LRS Edinburgh Castle Paperweight D/F Trophy

The beautiful glass paperweight trophy which displays an image of Edinburgh's Old Town, is presented annually at the LRS Barbecue to the winner of the LRS Direction-Finding Contest.

LRS Osprey Trophy

The beautiful glass plate known as the Osprey Trophy was awarded in the past to the winner of the Lothians Challenge. The committee is considering how this trophy could be awarded in future.

In 2022 the Osprey Trophy was awarded to Colin Murray GM4EAU for winning the RSGB Constructors' Trophy 2022 (Software Category) for his WATT software (WSPR Analysis And Transfer Tool). It was presented to him on 14 September 2022 by LRS President, Colin Wright GM4HWO.

Trophies & Certificates Won by the LRS GM3HAM/P Contest Group

The Lothians Radio Society is active in VHF / UHF / microwave contests, usually from an excellent site in the hills near Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries & Galloway. This site was previously used for many years by well-known VHF man Tom Douglas G3BA (formerly GM3BA -Edinburgh) - SK.

This is a compilation of the various awards and certificates won by the LRS in these contests. They are listed starting with the most recent. The website editor is anxious to trace any earlier certificates for the LRS archives.
