The Society offers training courses for the Foundation Amateur Radio licence. The courses take place over two weekends starting on the first Saturday continuing on the Sunday and carrying on the following weekend, (see below for syllabus details). The examination is taken on the second Sunday. Exam only attendance can be arranged for those who wish to study on their own. Candidates should bring with them and be familiar with the set text 'Foundation Licence Now!' which is available from the RSGB price £5. New syllabi are being introduced in April 2007. Potential applicants should contact us as soon as possible if they wish to sit a licence exam before April. All existing materials and books will become outdated and will need to be replaced after after April.
