Amateur Radio licensing in the UK is a function of Ofcom, a government agency. To obtain a licence applicants need to provide verified proof of ability. This proof is in the form of examinations run by the Radio Society of Great Britain on behalf of Ofcom. These examinations are mainly administered by amateur radio clubs and societies on a local level.

The Lothians Radio Society can assist in this process. Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for further information.
