LRS MEETINGS
LRS meetings are normally held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month (except July and August) at 8:00pm at the Braid Hills Hotel, 134 Braid Road, EH10 6JD.
In July and August Pub Nights are held at 7:30pm at Wee Bennet’s Bar at Morningside Station, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. There are also occasional Wee Bennet’s evenings arranged during the main club season.
Most items are archived in Meeting Reports or Society Activities.

Location Port Seton Community Centre, South Seton Park, Port Seton, EH32 OBG.
Time: Public admission 6:00pm – 8:30pm.
Table reserved for LRS. Food & hot / cold drinks.
Volunteers wanted to staff the LRS table – contact Colin GM4HWO.

18 June 2025 – WN2G Nicholas Gretzinger – 1st International Winner of Andre Saunders GM3VLB Scottish Islands Award

“We continue with the Andre Saunders GM3VLB Islands Awards which rewards activity in Scottish Islands. The award has had its first international recipient, Nicholas Gretzinger, WN2G (in NY State), which was pleasing to see information about the award has spread further than we expected. Time marches on and we have nearly used up the whole fund with possibly this year’s awards and next being the likely end being a total of 11 awards given.”

The LRS usually operates GM3HAM/P from a great site near Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries & Galloway.
5-6 July 2025 – VHF NFD – LRS will enter, organized by Pete GM4BYF & Colin GM4HWO.
6-7 Sept 2025 – 2m Trophy – undecided at present.
RSGB GB2RS NEWS
Every Sunday morning in the Edinburgh area at 09:30h from LRS member Peter Dick GM4DTH. 70.425MHz FM, 145.525MHz FM & 433.525MHz FM. Then call-in to Peter at 10:00h on 145.575MHz for local net. Several LRS members often there.
