The LRS AGM 2021 was held on 1st September, on-line, the first meeting back at the Braid Hills Hotel.
President's Report: Alan GM3PSP reported on an unusual year without formal meetings but with most contact among members being in the weekly "Viral" 2m SSB nets run by Colin GM4HWO. There were two local events - the DF Hunt with "Fox" Peter GM4DTH and the Barbecue at the QTH of Peter GM4BYF and Kay GM6KAY. We participated in three portable contests from Gatehouse of Fleet, the 2m Trophy in Sept 2020, the 2m Contest in May 2021 and VHF NFD in July 2021 in which we were again first in Scotland winning the Cockenzie Quaich & 1st on 6m. Silent Keys were Colin GM3LAV, Eric Lamb, Tom GM3DIE and Jack GM8GEC.
Financial Statement: Andy MM0FMF summarised Peter GM4DTH's statement. No subscriptions had been collected and no room rent paid to the hotel. We made a donation of £75 to the Museum of Communication and received a Gift Aid deposit of £70.38 as a registered charity. We had a balance of £3509.64 plus the GM3VLB Scotia Award Fund of £1000. The committee will work on the administration of this fund. Vic GM3OWU was thanked for auditing the accounts.
Election of Officers: Alan GM3PSP completed his two years as President and was replaced by Colin GM4HWO, but remains as Webmaster. All other committee members remain. Photos - see Main Menu. "Alan received an unprompted round of applause in appreciation for the work he continues to do as webmaster."
Program Discussion: James GM4WZP listed the meetings arranged up to January 2022 with only one formal meeting per month and Viral Nets on the other Wednesdays. The Christmas Curry will again be at the Gurkha Cafe. but date was changed to 15th December. "James was thanked for his work in resurrecting the program so quickly".
