NOTE: Pete GM4BYF will probably be going and will have spare seats available.
We are holding the Open day at the Museum on the 23rd and 24th August and the radio section will be putting on an HF demonstration station as well as trying to clear some of the accumulation of bits and pieces which are donated. There was a lot of ex TA gear, Pye I believe and an array of Amateur gear. KW2000, KW101ZD, Yaesu 290, Yaesu 690 , and even Eddystone 840s. We do have other old radios we will be keeping and hope to get going as exhibits but there are many old vintage parts and components including high voltage transformers. We think one strategy is that people can ask what they need and we can find it. There is whole box of old tuning capacitors. Some newer test gear, an aerial analyser, frequency counter and a Modern digital vhf rig. Aerials as well.

Finally it is a really super place for families to see old planes and modern fighter jets up close. There will be the usual array of burger vans and coffee stalls. We normally open at mid-day but I am uncertain if there are plans to open earlier on the weekend in question
