ACTIVITIES: Club Net: moved from 21 mc to 2-metres after March 5th 1959.

Scottish VHF Convention, Paisley, 14 March 1959.

NFD – 4/5 June at Loanhead. Two LRS stations as Edinburgh Club not participating this year. Score dropped from 824 in 1958 to 651 in 1959 due to “the most unpleasant Wx encountered” according to George Millar GM3UM. Letters of thanks sent to Mrs Tait and Mr Wardlaw for use of their fields.

PUBLICATIONS: discussion (8/1/59) of a new newsletter; Previously in 1947-50.

Hugh Lawson GM5HL recalled a column on the LRS and Amateur Radio in Edinburgh Evening News.

LRS participated in VHF Field Day.
