Contesting
LRS always has a number of members who are keen contesters, especially in the VHF and up bands.
The first two videos were filmed and produced by James GM4WZP and Colin GM4EAU.
1. Amateur Radio Operators Brian, GM8BJF and Alan,GM3PSP talk about their memories of what VHF NFD was like in the 1960s, and compare operating then with operating in 2023.

3. 1966 VHF National Field Day. This footage using 8mm cine film was shot by Alan Masson GM3PGP and transcribed to video by Peter GM4DTH.
Also LRS did some work with the RSGB for the “RSGB Tonight@8” item on the RSGB YouTube channel.
The second item, starting at 21 minutes into the video, shows LRS members with interviews and film of VHF National Field Day activities.
