4-5 May 2024 - RSGB UHF & Microwave Contest - only Brian Howie GM4DIJ/P:
"Bendy, Bendy".
Pah . Damp drizzly and foggy at Stoneykirk IO74MU nr Stranraer. Not enough to put me off!
3 contacts on 23cm, 1 on 9cm, none on 13cm or 3cm. Condx were so bad on 23cm I thought my antenna was borked. I took it up and down a few times and changed to a shorter one. The long one is too bendy. Need some support lines or bracing
The 9cm contact at 393 km using 2W to a 35cm BSkyB dish is the furthest I've ever worked on that band.

There was an excellent turnout of 30 including many visitors, for the spring surplus equipment sale. Many interesting items, including 6 crates from a Silent Key, sold in a meeting that lasted 2 hours.
